Bristol Ivy’s first book!

You all know Bristol Ivy’s wonderful knitting patterns! Now she’s publishing her first book with Pom Pom Press ~  Knitting Outside the Box.

Originating from her workshop of the same name, which we’ve been lucky enough to have Bristol teach a few times, at Loop! This book goes beyond patterns. Knitting Outside the Box is part creative exercises and part insight into the design process. Bristol guides the reader (and knitter) through the techniques she uses as a designer to explore and push the endless possibilities of knitting.

For any knitter who has mused on the question ‘What if?’, Bristol encourages an experimental approach.

Each stage of the book is complemented with a knitting pattern, which serves as an example of the methods explained in the book. Fifteen garments and accessories are paired with yarns by talented independent dyers such as Spincycle, Madelinetosh, Quince & Co, Woolfolk and Uncommon Thread.

We have long loved Bristol’s design aesthetic! A couple of years ago Bristol collaborated with Susan on our Teazel Cardigan, which is much loved and a shop favourite!

Book sounds great but will there be a digital version

  2. Sally says:

If I order online how do I still get my points? I have a card which is stamped when I visit the shop and make purchases but I don’t live in London so it’s not always so easy.
