It’s not hard to fall in love with Misti Chunky. Often times when customers first come to Loop, ready to squish some yarn, they get to the Misti and go, “Ooohhhhhh.” Yep, it’s usually considered the softest yarn in the shop  so it’s very hard to give it a squish and then walk away from it empty-handed!   Misti comes in some pretty glorious colours too …

Misti Alpaca sock in Cerise and Birds in Paradise

We’ve carried Peace Love Misti Alpaca Hand Paint Sock yarns for a while. They have great colour striping combinations. One of my favourite pairs of socks is knit in this yarn. It’s just a simple slip stitch pattern but it looks so effective in any heavily variegated yarn. (It was originally written for one of Madelinetosh’s more stripy yarns. The pattern is called Slippery Sock). The Alpaca makes them my warmest pair of socks. They are also incredibly hard wearing,  although they are strictly hand-wash only. The 100% Baby (super soft) Alpaca yarn is the most organically produced natural fibre in the world. It would make the most sumptuous baby blanket or sweater!
