Juniper Moon – Silk for Spring!
With Spring being promised by emerging shoots and flowers, the Juniper Moon Findley DK has arrived at the perfect time! This merino and silk blend in 20 beautiful shades has the perfect drape for lighter knits and summer shawls.
Nestled in the rolling hills of central Virginia, you’ll find Juniper Moon Farm, home to several sheep and angora goats, founded by Susan Gibbs in 2007.
As well as being in charge of her flock, Susan is the Creative Director of Juniper Moon Farm Yarns, carefully sourcing and crafting yarns that feature fibres grown in Peru, Argentina, Nepal, and Italy.
The Findley DK is made from quality Italian Merino mixed with 50% silk to give the softest yarn with a luxurious sheen. When knit, the silk content gives a lovely fluid feel making it ideal for drapey spring knits.
Each jewel-like ball is sumptuous rich shade, giving a concentrated boost of colour to your knits. From sophisticated oyster toned neutrals, to punchy azures and blushing roses, each colourway really shines!
An elegant selection of patterns accompany the yarn to make the most of those gorgeous colours. Such as Madaket, a simple cardigan with a delicate lace pattern along the button band to suit any occasion.
Or Sankaty, a buttoned top with lovely shaping details and edged with lace.
Miacomet uses a pretty leaf lace motif for detail at the side seams, sleeves and back.
And the Nobadeer Shawl, which adds a sunshine pop of perfect colour!
We’ll have a few yarns popping into the shop in Spring like the beautiful hand-dyed lace and DK merino from Cowgirlblues… as always, we’ll keep you up to date on the blog so stay tuned!
