Ce at The Uncommon Thread has done it again! All our favourite sumptuous colours in a delightful new base for you all to enjoy – hello to BFL Singles!

So why BFL? And why singles? Not only do you get a yarn that is durable thanks to the long staple length of Blue Faced Leicester, the low twist of a single ply fibre gives a subtle halo and soft texture. Altogether this makes a yarn with great stitch definition and it’s a super wash!

Plus, you’re buying yarn made from a British sheep breed which has then been hand dyed in Brighton.

Even those little kinks and twists you see in the skein knit up beautifully, but will also lessen after blocking.

One of our Loopettes Fiona chose two skeins of the romantic Wilted Rose to knit the Charm shawl and we think it’s divine! The simple garter stitch shows off the subtle shifts of colour in the dye, and that wooly texture is transformed after blocking to give a soft drape.
