Beautiful Embroidery Threads at Loop
At Loop we are crazy about haberdashery. We have an amazing selection of embroidery threads and kits. And this week we’d like to share with you some of the most beautiful embroidery and mending threads we stock.
Teinture Sauvage roughly translates to “Wild Dye” and is the ethos behind these beautiful mini-skeins of embroidery wool in colour palettes specially created for Loop. Celine, who lives and works in France, uses only 100% natural botanical dyes and natural wool. Each box contains 5 -100% naturally dyed wool mini-skeins all tucked into the sweetest hand-stamped box.
We are so honoured to have more of these exquisite mini-skeins back in stock at Loop.
Nordiska Project for Loop
Another very special item in the shop right now is the Nordiska Project for Loop, a special edition box of vintage linen embroidery threads from Sweden.
While researching 1960’s vintage Linblomman (the flax flower) linen threads, Tanja discovered an entire archive of vintage threads in an old haberdashery stock room hidden away for decades. These sublime linen threads are so beautiful and ready for stitching. We are so lucky to have a few of these limited edition sets of beautiful embroidery threads. The colour palettes have been handpicked for you and come in a beautiful Loop box as a keepsake! There are a few colour palettes and we hope you find one that you love.
We recently received a wonderful book! Embroidery on Knitting is a brilliant resource packed full of embroidery stitch ideas for your knits.
Great for transforming sweaters, hats and mittens with embroidery or for some visible and beautiful mending on treasured garments. The Teinture Sauvage threads would be perfect for using on knitted garments. You could also use some metallic threads or silk embroidery threads like the Au Ver A Soie D’Alger Silk Twists for extra luxury.
Temaricious Sashiko Sampler Kit
For a fun and beginner friendly project we have more Temaricious Sashiko Kits. We love these kits from Japan. Each kit has a pre-printed pattern on cotton fabric and comes with temaricious 100% naturally dyed thread, tassel parts and a sashiko needle.
