Baby Bear and the Big Bad Wool
Summer may be in full swing but all we want to do is cuddle up for story time with the Baby Bear onesie designed by Cocoknits founder Julie Weisenberger. This adorable knit is the perfect way to welcome a special little one into the world.
Cocoknits is a team of women based in Oakland, California, whose mission is to create beautiful patterns and tools for creative people. Julie has 35 years of knitting experience. Her designs consider the person who is knitting, how the garment will be worn, and the enjoyment of the knitter. All of this is evident in the simple top-down Baby Bear pattern. The only seams are at the crotch and underarms, and the diagonal snap tape opening is changing-table friendly.
This pattern is designed to be knit in the ever so soft Big Bad Wool Weepaca. This yarn is perfect for baby knits as it’s machine washable and comes in 48 different colours, including five brand new colours that have just arrived. Whether you’re knitting for a newborn or a one-year-old, this snuggly piece is sure to become a quick favourite. The Baby Bear pattern and Big Bad Wool Weepaca yarn are both available to purchase from Loop online or in the shop.
One of our favourite designers, Sophie Digard, has made more of her exquisite Alice Dolls for Loop! These hand crocheted and embroidered masterpieces showcase Sophie’s creativity and artisanship. Inspired by the infinite variation in the natural materials she uses, Sophie creates unique dolls in stunning colours, and no two are alike. These make a perfect gift for a child or an adult.
