Baby yarns and cutie patterns for baby knits from PetiteKnit

Baby yarns and cutie patterns for baby knits from PetiteKnit
CaMaRose Yaku

We received a box of lovely PetiteKnit patterns at the end of last week – how exciting! The PetiteKnit patterns, designed by Mette, who lives in Denmark, are very modern and very on-trend!

This week we wanted to shine a spotlight on some of the new PetiteKnit baby patterns we now have in print at Loop – they’re just adorable! Read on to see yarns we would recommend for knitting baby garments.

Ellen’s Play Set

A sweet little two piece set knitted up in 4ply yarn. We think this would be great knitted in CaMaRose Yaku or Mrs Moon Pudding.

Milla’s Summer Suit

This cute onesie is knitted in 4ply yarn; as with Ellen’s Play Suit you can use Mrs Moon Pudding or CaMaRose Yaku. It could also be made in Scheepjes Catona, which is 100% cotton, for a proper ‘summer suit’.

Ellen’s Coming Home Set

Ellen’s Coming Home Set has a jacket and little leggings, as well as a matching bonnet. We would recommend knitting this in Eden Cottage Milburn DK or Sublime Baby Cashmere Merino Silk DK.

We also restocked some of the PetiteKnit baby patterns we have been stocking for a while – we always recommend these for super wearable baby knits. We especially love the Beginners Jacket, which uses sport weight yarn, the Little Brothers Romper, which uses aran weight yarn, and Ellen’s Cardigan, which uses DK weight yarn – we would recommend the Rico Baby Dream DK for a wool-free and super soft alternative! This yarn is great, it never pills!

All the yarns we mention in this post are machine washable and very soft, so are perfect for baby knits. We can’t wait to see what you make!

Just a reminder…

We just wanted to leave a reminder here that our giveaway for one copy of Knits About Winter and one Double Mitt kit from Moel View is still running here on the blog. Please see last weeks post for all the information!
