Loop stocks a wide selection of tools and materials for embroidery and darning, but here are some of our very favourite items.

Threads

  • Temaricious Threads – we have colour packs of threads from Temaricious, as well as individually dyed cotton bundles. Temaricious threads are hand dyed in Japan, exclusively using plant dyes to gain the beautiful colours.
  • Au Ver A Soie – this French company make the most gorgeous pure silk threads, and we have quite a wide selection of them at Loop! We particularly love the big twists of the D’Alger silk; there is a fantastic colour palette available!
  • Sajou have fab Metallic Threads – these are also made in France, and are great for embroidery, as well as mending! You could pick a colour and use it for some visible mending on one of your jumpers!

The Wee Bears and Dogs

The Wee Bears and Dogs are handmade in London by Lesley McCormick. She uses mohair fibres, with vintage and recycled fabrics. The Wee Bears come in hand papered boxes, and The Wee Dogs come in little card boxes with a hand stitched pillow. They make really sweet gifts for collectors and lovers of handmade objects. The Wee Dogs are brand new for the holiday season! These adorable little collectables have an old-fashioned feel and just need to be taken home and loved.
