Hopping Down the Bunny Trail with Our Favourite Easter Treats!

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail with Our Favourite Easter Treats!

Let’s get right down to it: is there a craftier holiday than Easter? Between embellishing Easter bonnets, dyeing eggs, and adorning beautiful baskets with darling ribbons, it seems like everyone has their hands busy with something this time of year. Here’s what we’re hoping the Easter Bunny will drop in our baskets next weekend!

Loop Lopsy Rabbit Kit

Loop Lopsy Rabbit by Thandi Pritchard

This floppy crocheted rabbit designed just for Loop by Thandi Pritchard is the perfect emblem for Easter with a big fluffy pom-pom tail to boot. We first met Lopsy Rabbit through a toy designing competition we held a few years ago, and Thandi’s sweet creation has been a firm favourite ever since. The Loop Lopsy Rabbit Kit comes with all the yarn needed to make this rabbit as well as a printed pattern and a Loop project bag. Lopsy is also available as a stand alone Pattern in print or PDF format!

Hopsalots Slippers

Hopsalots Slippers designed by Tiny Owl Knits are perfect for chilly spring mornings!

How adorable are these slippers by Tiny Owl Knits? The Hopsalots Slippers pattern, which is sold as a physical copy, would be the perfect treat for any knitter’s Easter basket—or if you’re quick like a bunny you may have time to knit these up for a special someone in time for the egg hunt. The pattern calls for DK weight wool yarn held double, which we’ve got in spades. CaMaRose Hverdagsuld and Uncommon Thread BFL Sport/Light DK would leave plenty of room to play around with colour, while Daughter of a Shepherd Heritage DK would bring a beautiful earthiness to this pattern.

All The Beautiful Linen Rabbit Pouch

All The Beautiful Linen Rabbit Pouch

If you find yourself short a basket this year we’ve got a tip for you: the All The Beautiful Linen Rabbit Pouch is just as good at holding Easter eggs as it is at keeping all your project bits in one place! These hand embroidered beauties are made with love by a mother and her daughters in Lithuania and they’re available in five beautiful colours. You could outfit the whole family! If bunnies aren’t your bag these pouches are also available stitched with other springtime motifs like birds and flowers, squirrels, rosemary and lavender, and bees.

The Iconic Cotton Shopper

Loop’s iconic cotton shopper bag is great for projects, shopping trips, or just storing your stash

Anyone questioning our high regard for the noble bunny need look no further than our logo, featuring a regal rabbit proudly astride. The iconic Loop Cotton Shopper is a perennial favourite here in the shop and in the homes of our loyal Loopers and Loopettes. It’s super lightweight and comfortable to wear over your shoulder or across your body and its capacity is positively cavernous.

Bunny Buttons & Haberdashery

We love stocking our stash with darling haberdashery bits to bring unique flair to our projects, and our collection of rabbit buttons and other embellishments are full of Eastertime inspiration. Our Tree with Deer and Rabbit Buttons would look as at home on a lovely grown-up cardigan as on a child’s garment while Bunny with Mushroom Buttons and Happy Pop Bunny Buttons bring a splash of whimsy. Pink and blue Rabbit Buttons are just adorable on knits for newborns up to young children. The debonair handmade Acorn & Will Bunny Brooch could go straight into service Easter morning to adorn a bonnet or just accessorise your Sunday best, while the Girl with Bunny Charm is a sweet addition to jewellery or hung from the edge of a special something.

Get Them Before They Hop Away!

Bunnies aren’t just for Easter, and as evidence of that some of our favourite bunny-themed bits first hit our shelves months ago and are now almost gone! There are just a few pieces of these absolute treasures that could be yours. Sally Nencini’s Mr and Mrs Bunny are darling toys for children of all ages that are lovingly knit on domestic knitting machines before being hand embroidered to bring them to life. They make great doll’s tea party guests and also look lovely decorating the shelf of a nursery or living room. To really make it a party why not invite Lesley McCormick’s Wee Bunny Shelly as well. This beautiful hand-stitched mohair and vintage fabric bunny is made with care and ready to be loved! We are always fans of Nathalie Lete’s work, and her Bunny Silk Scarf is no exception. Only one of these exquisite limited edition scarves remains in the shop, and now is the perfect time to add it to your collection. There is likewise only one Bunny Hop Punch Needle Booklet by handicraft designer Rico left in the shop. This booklet provides a great season-appropriate way to try your hand at this popular craft!

International Rescue Committee logo

Thank you to everyone who donated to our fundraiser on Instagram for the International Rescue Committee (IRC), helping those who have had to flee their homes in Ukraine. Together we were able to raise £987.40, plus Loop will donate £1,000, bringing our total support for IRC to £1,987.40! This incredible organisation is doing so much good and we are so grateful that many of you joined us in supporting their work. For those who weren’t able to participate, there are still a few of our favourite shop samples for sale on our Schtickle for Charity page. The proceeds from these sales will be donated to IRC as well. If our schtickle is sold out please keep checking back — we’re always adding new products!
