Oh so Otso!

We love keeping an eye on your Loop projects out in the wild, and lately there has been a lot of awfully cute and impressive little bears being made. A bear by the name of Otso.

You may remember our free soft toy pattern Otso, designed by our former Loopette Sophie Scott, that we released just before Christmas. We still can’t get enough of the little cutie, so we dipped into the projects page on Ravlery and on Instagram, and there are so many delightful little teddy’s being made, we thought we’d share a few of our favourites with you.

@Alex8Facey on Twitter sent us this sweet picture of Otso in her new school dress, which she looks very pleased with.

Ravelry user Hyka, made not one, but two Otso’s, both with wonderful body embroideries. And it looks like Otso too enjoys her knitting!

Another knitter to make multiple bears is Joynoodles, and one of them even got a scarf.

All we can say is, wow. It’s so lovely to see how you take our patterns and make them completely your own, and this time is certainly no different! Keep posting your projects on Ravelry and Instagram with the hashtag #LoopLondon so we can find them. We always love to see what you get up to.

Our Otso was knitted in our Loop exclusive Alpaca Tweed from The Border Mill, most recently seen also in our latest pattern Winter Whispers by Paulina P. It’s a true delight of a yarn that’s super soft to the touch, plump and squishy to knit with, and so versatile it suits a very wide variety of projects from DK weight to aran.
