Pretty Shawls

Pretty Shawls

Okay we got a bit excited about the Kozmos and Pearl combo, and knit up a shawl.  Susan adapted the Lala Scarf, from Greetings from Knit Cafe, into a shawl, by making it a little longer. She needed just under one skein of the Juno Pearl in Golden Peach and 1.5 skeins of the Alchemy Kozmos in Old Rose. We figure she could just as easily have made the edging a little less flamboyant and got it out of one skein, as it is in the book. Pretty, huh?

I liked your suggestions for this yarn pairing as well. I love the idea of those yarns going into this lovely Ships and Seaside cowl by Tiny Owl knits.

I also finished another Crow Waltz shawl in Madelinetosh Pashmina. I used Well Water and Silver Fox. Beautiful yarn to knit and wear; very smooshy! This combination looks great with denim and other indigo fabrics. Very easy to wear.

Do you like the shawl pin? These are very popular in Germany. They’re also handy if you’re the kind of knitter who doesn’t like to get up and search for a cable needle in the middle of the action… hee, hee.

I must also say a big…..

  1. Hi – I love the 2 shawls above: the Crow Waltz Shawl & the adapted Lala scarf. I wonder – are the patterns available for these 2 please ?
    Kind regards
