Make sure you’re guarded against the chilly winter winds with a pair of cosy mittens! We love mittens as they are an ideal mini canvas to experiment with colour and textures, plus being smaller knits you have the perfect chance to try a new technique. Quick to make, mittens are just the thing for gift knitting too. What do you mean you don’t have a pair!? Don’t worry we’ve selected some of our favourites to keep those fingers busy (and then toasty in a beautiful handmade mitt!)

Jane Brocket is coming to lauch her new book, The Gentle Art of Knitting, at Loop, on Saturday May 21st, from  2-4pm. Once again, we will have lovely cake and cookies, milk and juice for you all (I’ll see if I can get my son to bake some more of his lemon drizzle cake with ducks eggs). To celebrate the book launch, on May 21st, there will be 10% off the cover price of Jane’s book and any yarns she has used in her book. This includes;  Madelinetosh Sock, Blue Sky Alpaca Bulky, Blue Sky Alpaca Sportweight, Blue Sky Alpaca …
