Wool Trip in Mussel Grey and Rosé

Every piece of knitwear is like a piece of history. With every stitch, every made piece becomes part of our own story.  That yarn you bought on holiday, or that first, wonky piece you made without a pattern. These are memorable pieces. What if you could inject even more of a backstory to your knitting? Hannah Fettig of Knitbot went on a wonderfully inspirational journey this summer, which resulted in Wool Trip – a truly limited edition, small batch yarn with a serious backstory – and now at Loop!

The gift-knitting rush is over, and we’re back to the daily grind. It’s cold outside and we could use a little comfort. Sometimes, for knitters, comfort comes in the form of a gorgeously plush skein of thick-and-thin hand-dyed yarn. We can’t think of a better way to stave off the January blues than by working up a simple but beautiful, enormous, cosy scarf in one of the dreamy colourways of Colinette Point Five. In semi-solid or gently variegated hues, each stitch is a new colour experience, making the simplest garter stitch pattern an adventure.

We pride ourselves on the wonderful yarns, sourced from around the world, that grace the shelves of Loop. But of course we hold a special place in our knitty hearts for British wool. So when we got the chance to stock the very classic and very British Toft yarns, we jumped at it! Their alpaca fur pom poms might have also had something to do with it…
