Welcoming Rosyposy’s Darling Dumpling Bags to Loop!

Welcoming Rosyposy’s Darling Dumpling Bags to Loop!

If you’re anything like us, there’s no such thing as too many project bags. Whether you’re keeping your current knit in tow, storing works-in-progress at home, or just giving your stash a nice looking home, a good project bag never goes amiss.

So you can imagine how thrilled we are to have received these super cute Dumpling Project Bags that are brand new at Loop. These beauties were handmade by sewist Rose Beck of Rosyposy Designs and we’re totally in love. Rose’s unique and creative designs are based on 30 years of experience as a knitter and more than a decade as a knitwear designer, so she really gets what makes a project bag practical as well as beautiful.

The intricately carved wooden handle is one of the little elements that make these bags so lovely.

The details are what makes these bags so special. The fine Japanese fabric is so incredible and just invites you to touch it. The subtle leaf pattern on the sturdy wooden handles are a beautiful addition, and the gentle gather gives this bag great capacity without being too bulky. This bag truly will look so sweet on your arm or on a hook in your crafting room.

These bags are fully lined with an inner pocket for haberdashery. Each item is a totally one-of-a-kind celebration of this incredible fabric. Can’t think of what project to put in it first? Why not check out some of Rose’s fabulous knit designs on Ravelry for inspiration!

Autumn Classes

We are so excited to welcome back Duygu Turgut Gökpinar and Celia Pym for two classes this autumn. Both of these lovely ladies have hosted very popular workshops at Loop before and we can’t wait to learn more from them. Duygu will host four Punch Needle sessions on the weekend of 24-25 September. The morning sessions will cover regular punch needle, producing a tapestry with a thick, chunky appearance. The afternoon sessions use a finer punch needle to produce more intricate work that looks more like embroidery. Both classes are suitable for beginners and there’s an option to purchase all the materials you need if you’re just starting out! We are always so happy to have Ceclia Pym in the shop teaching her famous Mending Workshop. She’ll return to the shop on 29 October to share more of her incredible knowledge about fixing wear and tear with inventive visible mending techniques. Both of these classes have proved popular in the past, so be sure to reserve your place soon!
