21 Candles for Us, 21 Treats for You!
Twenty-one years of Loop! It’s hard to believe how much time has gone by since that very first July we opened our little yarn shop — and how much has changed in that time!
We’ve moved from Cross Street to Camden Passage, seen loads of lovely Loopettes come and go, and met so many incredible artists and creators over the years, but one thing has never changed: our total devotion to finding the most gorgeous crafting supplies we can, in every corner of the world.

As a special treat, we’re having a Birthday Sale on 21 hand-picked things we love! For one week only — from today, Friday the 17th of July, to next Thursday the 23rd, starting and ending at midnight GMT — we’re offering 15% off some true gems. From treasured yarns we’ve had in the shop for years to a one-of-a-kind piece by Julie Arkell, these beauties are a true tour of all the things we love at Loop.

If you’re looking to build (or re-build) a stash, this is a perfect time to do it, with some really exquisite yarns included in our Birthday Sale. Super light, unbeliveably soft La Bien Aimée Kumo (and LBA Alix, too!), beautifully crafted mYak Fior di Lino, brilliant mohair substitute The Uncommon Thread Cloud Fingering (plus Uncommon Thread BFL Sport/Light DK), and naturally dyed Herbarium Dyeworks Merino Twist Mini Cakes are all included, as is our special just-for-Loop colour of Spincycle Dyed in the Wool, Venus in Furs. Rico’s Fashion Mohair Merino Chunky and Luxury Pima Cotton x Baby Alpaca are fabulous stash builders, as are BC Garn Lino, De Rerum Natura Cyrano, and super luxurious Jade Sapphire 4ply Cashmere Mini Skeins.

And if you want some gorgeous inspiration for what to do with these yarns, Celia Pym’s Socks: Imaginative Mending is sure to spark something. Whether you’re looking for ideas for how to fix your holey socks or you want to be inspired to think about stitching (on socks or anything else!) in a whole new way, this creative journey through the stitches of school children from from nursery through year 6 is a truly special one that we hold very dear. If crochet is more your bag, Lumières, Daruma’s 2025 collection, is absolutely full of ideas for all kinds of clothes and even an amigurumi! We’re also huge fans of the Uneek Sock Kit by Urth Yarns, which uses self-striping yarns to make matching socks. This is great if you’re just getting started with socks and want to achieve a lovely look without juggling different yarns.

If it’s haberdashery you’re after, we’ve got you covered. Loop’s new Special Edition Tape Measure and Embroidery Bird Scissors are compact and useful tools you’ll turn to again and again, and Studio Carta’s Cotton Ribbon with Metallic Edging adds a bit of flair to wrapped gifts or stitching projects. We adore all of Nathalie Lété’s work, and the lovely Two Birds Tote Bag is no exception, with her signature dreamy style that brings together animals and plants on full display. But if you’re really looking for a pice of kit that’s a cut above, Cohana’s Lacquered Persimmon Scissors absolutely take the cake. This is the type of tool that you’ll appreciate every time you touch it. You might even finid you want to keep these scissors on display they’re so beautiful. A true gift if ever there were one.

We’re so chuffed to be celebrating 21 wonderful years, and so thankful to all of you who have been with us along the way. We hope these treats will make every day feel like a celebration!
xoxo
