Cute Crafts for Halloween Haunts!
Cosy season is truly upon us, and that can only mean spooky season is right around the corner. Luckily, our friends at Rico have come up with the perfect way to celebrate both!
In nine festive crochet patterns, Rico’s Ricorumi Halloween Booklet lets you craft your way to autumn’s most decked out holiday. Playful ghosts, spooky bats, a plethora of pumpkins, and more Halloween-y friends take their place in this seasonal celebration. Whether you’ll be welcoming trick-or-treaters or boiling up a witch’s brew just for you, these characters are sure to get you in the spirit!

Like all Rico’s amigurumi these patterns play with texture as much as shape. Using Ricorumi DK, Nilli Nilli, Lamé, Glow in the Dark, Furry Furry, and Spin Spin, these patterns are a super fun way to explore Rico’s range of fabulous yarns. These fuzzy, glowing, shimmering crochet pieces are a cut above, and you might just get inspired to use these yarns in other projects in the process!

The Ricorumi Halloween Booklet is available to buy now, and we’re chuffed to stock most of the yarns called for in this book. Of course, you can also pick up all the crochet hooks and other haberdashery you may need. Have a blast and happy Halloween!
New Colours of Hedgehog Fibres Sock Yarn!

Add another sock yarn to your basket! Three new colours of Hedgehog Fibres Sock Yarn have come in this week and we’re totally in love. These yarns are hand-dyed in Cork, Ireland, on a yarn base spun just for them. The mixture of 90% merino wool for that warm, organic feel and 10% nylon for extra hardiness makes this a totally ideal sock yarn, and it’s also great for shawls (we love using it for our Tiny Tassels pattern). Hedghehog Yarns are intentionally dyed to avoid striping or pooling, so the knit up result is a brilliant festival of colour. “Al Fresco”, “Spritz”, and “Boy Bye” are fabulous additions to this range. We can’t wait to slide our feet into some new colourful socks!
Selvedge Textile Month

September is in full swing, and that means it’s officially Selvedge London Textile Month! This celebration of all things cloth, culture, and creativity has become such a highlight of the calendar. With loads of events all over London (and a few further afield as well!) it really feels like the whole city is alive with creative energy. We are super pleased to be taking part in London Textile Month this year as we host the Book Launch for the English edition of Aitor Saraiba’s book Embroider, Mend and Sew, which is available to preorder now! There are a few spots left for the event on Friday the 18th of September from 6 to 8:30pm, and we’ll have tons of stitching joy from Aitor in the shop that weekend as well, including a super special embroidery kit that we can’t wait to share with you!
Enjoy!
