Welcoming Aitor Saraiba — and His Wonderful Book and Kits!
Today is the day! After months of waiting, the English edition of Aitor Saraiba’s book Embroider, Mend, and Sew is finally launching, and we can’t wait to celebrate tonight!
The books have arrived, Aitor has been diligently signing them, and the stage is set for a wonderful evening of celebrating craft in collaboration with Selvedge London Textile Month. We’re so pleased that many of you can make it to the shop this evening, but don’t worry if you can’t join us, there are still plenty of beautiful things to enjoy!
The first, of course, is Aitor’s gorgeous book Embroider, Mend, and Sew — the reason we’re all gathering this weekend in the first place! We have books available to purchase in the shop or online, and all the copies in this first batch at Loop will be signed.
We were so thrilled by the response to our Loop + Aitor Special Embroidery Box when it launched last week. Our presale boxes sold out in a matter of hours! But don’t worry, we’re already busy assembling more so we can spread the joy even further. We should have more boxes by mid- to late October, and you can preorder yours starting this Sunday evening, the 20th of September! So much careful attention went into these, and we’re chuffed to bits that you all love them as much as we do!
Aitor has also brought some of his incredible kits with him, which are an enchanting way to explore his signature style through your own stitches. Aitor’s Amulet Kit gives you the tools to create a meaningful piece that’s all your own. His Snippet Roll Kit turns your stitches into a story preserved on a scroll. And his Red & White Kit and Black Swan Mini Quilt Kit are gorgeous explorations of colour and shape. We’re also welcoming his Stitched Little Bear Kit, which was made for one of his sold-out workshops at Loop but is also available to purchase on its own.
