Loop’s Haberdashery Kit Is a Beautiful Bounty of Must-Haves!

Loop’s Haberdashery Kit Is a Beautiful Bounty of Must-Haves!

A knitter’s most important asset is their haberdashery kit. That perfect collection of little tools that follows them from project to project, keeping all the essentials at hand (including the ones that might not be obvious at first).

It can take years to cultivate the perfect collection — and to find the perfect way to keep it all together as it moves between project bags. Well, if you’re still searching for the perfect setup, you’re in luck. We’re taking the guess work out of assembling the must-haves that make your projects a breeze and the little luxuries that make every stitch feel like a treat with our Loop Haberdashery Kit.

Our Loop Haberdashery Kit comes full of joyful tools that will take your knits to the next level.

We’ve spent years collecting haberdashery from all over the world, and we truly believe these are the things that should be in every knitter’s arsenal. Elevated essentials like Flamingo Flower Power Scissors and a Loop Tape Measure join little luxuries like a lovely Degen Needle Gauge and PetitKnit Stitch Holder Cords, which make it unbelievably easy to hold stitches for sleeves or afterthought heels, or to try on a garment without the fear of losing stitches! Three plain stitch markers and a toadstool stitch marker (great for marking the beginning of a round) come in our sweet Songbird Small Tin, and for measuring your progress we’ve included a roll of Rico Washi Tape (a great alternative to latching progress markers!) For your finishing touches, we’ve included a sturdy tapestry needle and a mini sachet of Soak gentle laundry soap — perfect for blocking. All of this comes in a custom Loop Canvas Pouch, which zips securely to keep everything in one place.

Our Loop Canvas Pouch is the hold-all home for your favourite haberdashery.

Of course, we know no two knitters are alike, and no two haberdashery kits will be identical either. There’s plenty of room in our Loop Canvas Pouch to add favourites you’ve found over the years or to keep growing your collection in the future. What we are hoping to do with our Loop Haberdashery Kit is give you a beautiful starting point, or help you replace old pieces of kit that aren’t pulling their weight anymore. Whether you’re refreshing your own collection or giving another knitter the gift of gorgeous haberdashery, we hope you’ll love the goodies in these kits as much as we do!

Selvedge Magazine

We are so in love with Selvedge issue 113, which is all about the distinctly human way we relate to textile craft. Our stitches and the stories that inspire them require true presence even as the world becomes more and more mediated by technology. Keeping those traditions alive and passing them to the next generation is a project we’re all engaged in, and the latest issue of Selvedge invites you to make these traditions the centrepiece of your holiday celebrations this year. This year’s Selvedge Winter Fair on Sunday the 22nd of November at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London will be full of inspiration for how to do just that, as well as wonderful handmade items that would make incredible gifts. We’ll be taking part in the fair this year, and we’ll be giving away a few tickets next week. Stay tuned for details on how to enter and hope to see you there!

52 Weeks of One-Skein Knits

We’re delighted to welcome the lastest in Laine Publishing’s “52 Weeks of” series with 52 Weeks of One-Skein Knits! We love the concept of these books: that each one contains a year’s worth of knitting. And these one-skein projects really do feel achievable within a week! Make hats, socks, shawls, cowls, collars, hoods, headbands, mitts, and mittens using knitting techniques ranging from beginner to intermediate. There’s one crochet pattern as well! Whether you go for the full sweep of 52 knits or just pick a few favourites, these are great, engaging projects that you’ll love. You can check out other books in this series including 52 Weeks of Sweaters, 52 Weeks of Socks, and 52 Weeks of Socks Volume II — because even a year’s worth of socks isn’t enough!

Happy knitting!
