Sympathy for Norway
Firstly we’d like to extend our Sympathy and good thoughts to everyone in Norway following the terrible events last Friday.  We have customers, friends, relatives and staff from Norway and we are thinking of all of you.
Knit Nation
Knit Nation was wild! Thanks to everyone that came and queued so patiently on the Friday night…we heard people waited for up to 40 minutes to pay.
Our best sellers included Wollmeise (of course, you guys just can’t get enough), all our  Madeline Tosh yarns (fantastic new colours!), Viola (our new sock weight yarn from Canada),and   ChiaoGoo red cable knitting needles were a huge hit along with the Washi Tape and all the amazing new books.
There were lots of gorgeous stands there, including two our home grown favourites,  Old Maiden Aunt and Juno.
It was lovely to see old friends, meet new ones and put faces to Ravatars.   There are some great pictures of our booth in Arlenes World of Lace Group on Ravelry. There is a particularly nice picture of Stephen West in his shorts.
Stephen West
Heads Up ~ Stephen West is starting a mystery shawl KAL on August 1st and there is a thread in the Loop group where people are welcome to join in. A signed copy of Westknits 3 is up for grabs.  Stephen will also be at Loop doing a public signing/meet and greet on Saturday November 12th…more info to follow!

I’ve only read about Madeline Tosh yarns and I have to admit that I didn’t seem them on Saturday at the marketplace. Love William Morris and Toast – I can feel a purchase coming on!
