15 lovely woolly years at Loop and new embroidery sets
"15 Lovely woolley years at Loop" by Julie Arkell

We are so excited to be sharing this Anniversary with you! We have been working hard with some of the incredibly talented people who have been a part of Loop over the years to bring you some exceptional products. This week we are celebrating with Temaricious.

Loop Anniversary Temaricious Thread Sets

Naho and Rika are the creatives behind Temaricious Threads, based in Japan.  We still feel incredibly honoured to have stocked their beautiful embroidery threads in our shop for some years now and are always amazed at their breathtaking naturally-dyed beauty. The colours are a direct reflection of Naho and Rika’s love and respect for nature.

Together, we’ve come up with two different sets of extraordinary new colours for you. The ‘Bright’ set includes 5 vibrant colours and the ‘Earth’ set includes 5 subtle and earthy colours. All threads are hand-dyed in Tokyo using natural ingredients and are produced in small lots. Great for embroidery, sashiko, temari, visible mending, or anything else you can think of! When ordering one of these lovely sets you’ll also receive one of our beautiful duck egg blue Anniversary cotton bags!

Loop Anniversary Special Edition Colour: Glory Bower

Temaricious Special Anniversary colour ‘Glory Bower

In addition to all those lovely botanically dyed colours ,Temaricious have also created a limited edition seasonal colour for us in their cotton thread bundles and individual single cotton thread twists called ‘Glory Bower’. This beautiful and delicate teal colour is achieved by using the berry from the glory bower tree with its jasmine-like blooms and bright, bluish-green berries. The glory bower blooms only for a very short time from late summer to early autumn and produces just a scattering of berries making this an extra special and rare colour.

Loop Anniversary Bags

To commemorate our 15 lovely woolly years we’ve had some bespoke bags made! Our dear friend and talented artist Julie Arkell has contributed a whimsical and charming illustration of London’s iconic Big Ben clocktower knitting. So perfect and we just love it!

Some of our limited edition anniversary goodies will come in our new bags and both bags are also available to purchase separately. They make a great gift and are perfect for carrying your new projects in.

The rose colour bag is a great over the shoulder cross -body bag. Hands free leaves more time for knitting!

The duck egg blue bag is slightly smaller with a shorter handle perfect for carrying a small project or a book on the go. This bag also has one of Julie’s drawings on both sides!

Jade Sapphire Cashmere – on sale!

Our Jade Sapphire 8 ply and 6 ply cashmere is now on sale!  This divine yarn is an exceptional quality 8-ply (Aran weight) and 6 ply (DK weight) 100% cashmere.

You might know the Jade Sapphire 8 ply from our Loop pattern ‘Hygge Baby’ designed by Vibe Ulrik Sondergaard and the beautiful Sweetie Pie Capelet form our Loop’s 10 book of patterns.

For a super soft and cosy fabric, the Jade Sapphire Cashmere is hard to beat. Just a few skeins would also make amazing accessories like a hat or an extra soft and squishy cowl. The Plucky Anniversary Hat by Plucky Knitter is a free pattern and would be perfect for the Jade Sapphire 6 ply and would make a beautiful gift!
