A New Yarn from CaMaRose!

We know there are a lot of CaMaRose devotees out there, and we’re super thrilled to bring you a new yarn of theirs that we just know you’re going to love.
Løvfald is the latest release from the lovely Trine Bertelsen of CaMaRose. It has been a total labour of love between Trine and her spinning mill in Peru to come up with this really wonderful yarn, but it does come with a bit of a sting in the tail: With the arrival of Løvfald, CaMaRose is saying goodbye to Yaku. This has been a favourite for so many for so long, but Trine really wanted to bring a non-superwash yarn into the world, and one that meets the Responsible Animal Fibers (RAF) certification standard for ethical, sustainable, and environmentally responsible production of yarns and textiles. This certification means the yarn is good for both the planet and the animals involved!

Løvfald is such a perfect replacement for Yaku, and it comes with all the benefits of a non-superwash yarn like better shape retention, super warmth, and a more natural feel. Best of all, Løvfald still manages to be incredibly soft. And with the same colour range and gauge as Yaku, we think you’ll be slipping Løvfald into your projects in no time!

To help you make the transition, we’ve worked with Trine to adapt our Loop’s Blanket (originally designed for the Hverdagsuld) to suit Løvfald, and even made up a kit with the perfect amount of yarn you’ll need to make a baby or junior size blanket, as well as the printed pattern. We hope you love Løvfald!
Re:Designed Project 34

As soon as we brought Re:Designed to the shop earlier this year we all fell in love, and each time we’ve ordered more they’ve swiftly flown out the door. So we’re so glad to have the Project 34 in the shop now! The leather, the workmanship, everything about these Danish designed beauties are above and beyond. Project 34 is an organiser for your needles, hooks, and notions could almost fit in your back pocket so you can bring them along wherever you go! A fantastic gift for anyone on your “nice” list.

Christmas is nearly upon us, and the last date to place an order for Christmas delivery within the UK via Royal Mail is Thursday 19 December. But our shop is still very much open for orders arriving in the new year!
We’ll be closed for a few days over Christmas and New Year to allow our staff to relax and celebrate. We will be closed on weekdays during the weeks commencing 23 and 30 December, but open the weekend of 28 December. We’ll be open as usual until Sunday 22 December and then again from Saturday 4 January. For more information on our opening hours and more, see our Visit Us page.
