Aitor Saraiba Project Bags and Pattern Books Galore

Aitor Saraiba Project Bags and Pattern Books Galore

You’ve seen Aitor Saraiba’s incredible holiday window at Loop — now we’re over the moon to bring you a very special project bag for the holiday season!

We’re thrilled to have collaborated with Aitor on this piece. We’ve been totally entranced by his marvellous illustrations, so it’s a real joy to feature his work on our iconic shop bags. The swan he has drawn is so serene you may find you want to use it for more than just your crafting projects. In fact, we think these might be appearing under quite a few Christmas trees in place of Santa sacks or stockings! What could be better than a holiday surprise package of crafting wonder?

Aitor’s beautiful illustration for our special project bag.

The Loop Bag with Aitor Saraiba has all the hallmarks of a classic Loop project bag. It’s made of organic cotton and printed here in the UK — but this time we’ve gone a bit bigger. This project bag is great for bulkier projects, like a knit sweater or an embroidery piece that requires a lot of fabric scraps and other bits and bobs. Tote your WIP in style!

If you’re as big a fan of Aitor as we are you can stitch like him at home with one of the very special kits he has made up for us. The Mini Woodland Quilt Kit and Scapular Kit make for creative, meditative stitching and would be great gifts too!

Rico Furry Yarn and Animal Patterns

Have you ever seen a fluffier yarn?

Are you ready for something oh so soft? Ricorumi Furry Furry yarn defies belief with how fuzzy and cuddly it is. You almost just want to leave these sweet little bundles of yarn wound up as they look so perfect. Luckily Rico has thought of a few better ways to put this yarn to use in their Furry Animals Ricorumi booklet. With 23 crochet patterns for different animals using Furry Furry and Rico’s trusty Cotton DK, you can make a super sweet pal for every kiddo (and even a few grown-ups) on your holiday gift list this year!

The Geometric Pattern Book

We totally adore this new book of buildable geometric crochet designs from Japan! The Geometric Pattern Book is a fabulous way to explore shape, colour, and texture, all in modular pieces that work beautifully together. It’s like a puzzle that always fits: once you have a few pieces made up you can arrange them in loads of different ways to change the look and feel of the piece you’re making. The options are endless! The book shows you how to make some really wonderful things using the geometric building blocks as well. Even though this book is only available in Japanese, the clearly illustrated instructions make it easy to follow no matter what language you speak!
