Brooklyn Tweed’s New Core Yarn ~ Peerie
Brooklyn Tweed have finally given us a beautiful new yarn to add to their core collection. Peerie is a high quality, breed-specific wool from American raised Merino sheep. This yarn is perfect for colourwork!
Brooklyn Tweed say this is their finest fibre yet at 20.5 micron count fleeces! Peerie is worsted-spun into a fingering-weight 4-py. The worsted-spun construction aligns the fibers horizontally to create a smooth yarn with just the right amount of twist and a perfect amount of bounce.
Peerie is soft next to the skin, springy, with excellent stitch definition. Not just for colourwork, but great for cables, lace and textured stitches too!
Peerie comes in 50 gram skeins with a put up of 205 metres/ 225 yards. The smaller skeins making buying for colourwork projects more manageable.
We have the whole range of all 45 of their gorgeous colours!
Throughout June, Brooklyn Tweed are offering a free pattern for their hat Lucerne, with any purchase of Peerie.
When you purchase any Peerie yarn, you will be given a download link for the pattern.
Lucerne is designed by Jared Flood and worked in 2, 3 or 4 colours of Peerie. The pattern offers several beautiful colour variations. It’s the perfect little pattern for trying out these new yarns.
Brooklyn Tweed’s Arbor, Loft and Shelter have been very popular. We expect this new yarn to be in demand!
Happy knitting from all of us at Loop!
