Bunnies Galore!
The Easter Bunny is paying an early visit to Loop as we get ready for the arrival of Spring! We have a whole warren of haberdashery and knitting treats inspired by our leporine friends for this Easter!
If you’re looking for an alternative to chocolate for this year, we’ve just knit up the adorable Sophie pattern by Ysolda Teague. Easy and quick to knit, the clever construction means no seaming as the stitches for the limbs, ears and body are picked up once the head has been knitted and stuffed. And who can resist those floppy ears?
Sophie takes just two skeins of Quince and Co. Chickadee and we went for a summery pop with the watermelon pink of Rosa Rugosa. Quince and Co.’s colour range means you can go for bright or chose a more classic bunny shade.
For an even quicker knit (and just as cute) don’t forget our free Bunny Brooch pattern that Juju Vail designed for us the other Easter. As Juju said, “You probably didn’t know you needed a bunny brooch for your shawl. But you do. You need one with a secret pocket for hiding little chocolate eggs in.”
Ideal for using up leftovers, the Bunny Brooch can be knit using any 4ply weight. We would try the Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift as these 25 gram balls are great for mini projects.
We’ve also got rabbits hopping around the button section! These delicate mother of pearl buttons would be lovely on a baby cardigan.
And these wooden hare buttons are also leaping in too!
Plus we have a charming waistcoated chap as well.
All of Sajou’s scissors are made in France by craftsmen who are often from a family of traditional scissor makers. This design is extra special of course with an elegant hare along the arms of the scissors.
To carry it all home, you’ll need your Loop canvas bag – appropriately themed of course!
Loop is open as normal for Good Friday 3rd April and Saturday 4th April. We are however closed Easter Sunday 5th April.
Happy Knitting!
