New Sock Yarn At Loop ~ Twist Light

Madelinetosh‘s new sock yarn Twist Light is now at Loop. The yarn content  is 75% super wash merino and 25% nylon, making up the perfect blend for a soft and durable, hardwearing sock . This generous skein of 384 meters (420 yards) per 100 grams is more than enough for a pair of socks or with two skeins, knit up a generous sized lacy shawl. It is hand dyed in small batches and our first shipment, of the new colours, is already at the shop. More colours will be arriving very soon!

We’ve added 10 new colours to our already huge colour selection in this beautiful yarn. It’s one of our favourites. Prairie comes in a single ply, merino laceweight, perfect for shawls or garments. Soft and luxurious , the perfect weight for a summer shawl.

All of these beautiful new colours will be arriving in all of the madelinetosh bases that we stock in the next few months including Prairie, Merino Light, Twist Light, Pasmina, Vintage and Home! And in the Autumn we’ll be getting in Tosh DK to replace the Merino DK which has now been discontinued.

  1. Snake is the most gorgeous, rich interesting colour I’ve seen! *cackles in glee and starts planning*

  2. Gorgeous yarn, but who would expect anything less from Madelinetosh? And the most perfect colour for me, as I keep snakes! My fingers are firmly crossed.

  3. Impossible to choose but the smokestack/optic would be a lovely starting point (added to my wish list!)

  4. Wonderful colours! Snake caught my eye straight away. I also love Harvest. I can already envision a gorgeous pair of comfy socks and a squishy cosy shawl. And I really wish I lived closer to London and could join the woolly tattoo workshop with Tiff!!

  5. The prize skein would work in so many ways for anyone especially good in a combination with a speckled yarn from the range to add depth to a project. The variation in the deeper colour would add richness without a solid heavy block which gives the freedom to use with brighter speckled colour way or as a rich standalone in a project.

  33. What IS it about MadTosh? Their colorways are so unique, so saturated, so…so…so hard to say “no” to!!
I’ve seen complex inky blue black before but never a green black version. Now I have to sift through patterns until I find the perfect match for Snake…I have until the end of the month!
