Doves of Peace and Quick Festive Knits This Season at Loop!

Doves of Peace and Quick Festive Knits This Season at Loop!

We love December. A season of giving and receiving, of creating warm and fuzzy feelings even though the temperatures are plummeting, of light and love and bustling streets and fitting in time for everyone you love — and maybe an extra mince pie. Above all, it’s a season of knitting!

As you get ready for this season’s festivities, we have all the tools you’ll need to make the season bright and your loved ones’ faces even brighter!

Qing Fibre Big Merino

Qing’s Big Merino is big fun! This chunky wool from one of our favourite London-based dyers is just pure joy and Layla Qing is a true genius. We will never understand how she achieves all her different wild, wonderful hues, but we’re so glad to be the beneficiaries of her creativity! This yarn is especially perfect if you find yourself behind on some knitted gifts. It knits up so fast and beautiful you’ll be done with your handmade beauties in no time! Cosy hats and chunky cowls in a click of the needles! Plus all the brilliant, bright, rich, splashy Qing colours you love.

Border Mill Mini Box Sets for Loop!

The Border Mill’s 21-colour North Coast Tweed Box Set

It’s no secret that we adore all of The Border Mill’s incredible tweedy, heathered wools, but this time they’ve really outdone themselves. The 21-Colour North Coast Tweed Box Set is truly the stuff of dreams. Designed to act as a bridge between some of the colours in the 50-Colour Box Set, the 21-colour set is brilliant on its own or as a complement to the 50-colour set. These 10g, 100% Shetland wool balls are just a delight. Perfect for colourwork, granny squares, mending, and much more, these boxes are absolutely wonderful.

Dove of Peace Drawstring Bag

Loop’s Dove of Peace project bag is a lovely tool for a good cause

Giving back is very important to us at Loop, and that’s why we created this lovely Dove of Peace Drawstring Project Bag. For every bag sold, we will donate 50p to the International Rescue Committee, an international humanitarian organisation that helps people survive in the wake of crises, and we are so proud to support their work. This bag is perfect for keeping your projects secure while you’re on the go, and the drawstring closure makes it easy to keep your ball of yarn from hopping around the floor while you’re knitting. The beautiful dove illustration is available in Rose or Lilac and Rose colourways.

The Knitter’s Dictionary

The Knitter’s Dictionary contains all you need to know about knitting

Whether you picked up your first knitting needles yesterday or decades ago, every knitter has had the experience of reading a new (or forgotten) abbreviation and saying, “huh”? Knitter’s Dictionary to the rescue! This comprehensive guide to knitting terminology contains definitions and explanations of every term from “alt” to “yrn”. With 150 illustrations, super useful cross-references, in-depth how-to guides, and tons of bonus tips and tricks, this is the book no knitter should be without.

Saskie Socks by The Petit Knitter

How cute are The Petite Knitter’s brand new Saskie Socks? The sweet bunnies that adorn these socks and the funky and playful swap of positive and negative colours are so darling. This pattern uses two colours of fingering weight yarn. One of the yarns designer Weichien used in the pictured sample is Loop favourite Biches & Bûches Le Petit Lambswool. Any two colours of this would look simply divine in this pattern!

Loop’s Gifts Section has tons of delectable treats!
