Edinburgh Yarn Festival 2018

It’s finally here! We’re enjoying the Edinburgh Yarn Festival as you read this! Are you there? Come find us and say hello, if you are. We’re at stand E5.
There’s still a chance to win a Blink Kit if you can’t make it to EYF!
Round Up Of Our EYF Goodies

We have some beautiful knit kits previewing in Edinburgh ~ Blink, Tiny Tassels and Tuli Cowl.

The Tuli Cowl kits, designed by Fiona Alice for Loop, are premiering at EYF! We haven’t featured them on our blog yet, but we’ll dedicate a special post to them in the upcoming weeks.

They come in three moody colourways, using Uncommon Thread BFL DK and Snail Gradient Yarns.

We’re also showing our new yarn, Twirl, for the first time in Edinburgh. Twirl comes from a small company in Napa Valley California that raise sheep, goats, rabbits, llamas and alpacas on their own land, which they have spun at a local mill and then dye themselves. We’ll have more about this special yarn in upcoming weeks, but if you’re in Edinburgh, you can preview it.

We’ve brough Plucky Primo Fingering, Freia Shawl Balls and Uncommon Thread BFL Singles.

Ce Persiano, of The Uncommon Thread, will be our guest of honour on our stand (E5), on Friday and Saturday each day from 2:00-3:00. Please come and meet her!

We’ll also have cute little bundles of Plant Dyed by Mette Mehlsen!

Plus, we’ll be featuring many adorable haberdashery and handmade items including our own range of block printed bags! So come check us out.

Toy Design Competition
Thanks to all who have entered our first design competition. We got some adorable entries that we can’t wait to share!
Final EYF Prize Giveaway
You still have another week to enter our final prize giveaway of a Blink kit, in the colour of your choice.

We’ll draw the winner on March 21st and announce the winner on March 23rd. (If you should buy a kit before then, and win, we’ll find a nice alternative prize for you!)
There are two ways to win! You can do both, if you want to double your chances!
- Follow us on Instagram and either repost our image (above) in a post of your own (this is very important – it is not enough to leave a comment in our post with the hashtag, it has to be in a post in your IG feed), or use an image of your own, but be sure to tag it with #LoopEYF18Gift.
- Leave a comment here, on our blog.
One winner is drawn from the total combined entries.
Good luck! And we hope to see you at EYF!

So many lovely skeins of yarn just waiting to be squeezed, alas I won’t be at EYF. Such fabulous colours in this Blink kit just waiting for a good home.☺
Knit Lounge share today is swoon-worthy! So many loves! Blink will be a classic knit! Love the pink-pocket version on IG share!
See you tomorrow x
Love that Blink kit. Would so love to win it.
Thanks for posting the Blink giveaway! It’s great to hear that this has been created from an original project by one of your customers – gives us all hope that big things can grow from our needles. The garter stitch gives a soft structure and it looks beautiful in all the colourways but particularly the blackberry, which I would be delighted to win. Have fun in Edinburgh – lovely yarns and lovely people – how could you not?!
Love your stand at EYF!
Very sorry I can’t go to EYF…..I hope it will be next time !!!! I should be so happy to win…..I love this pattern !!!

Looks like heaven to me. Would love to be there but will just have to feast my eyes on your pics instead. Still trying to work out how to post on Instagram to stand in hope of being lucky enough to win a Blink kit xxx
Wish I were there! Sorry to be missing EYF 2018 – definitely in my diary for next year. Your stand is a feast for the eyes. Good luck everyone, and thank you Loop.
EYF is a little far too come but it is on my wish list. I’ve visited the store and would visit the stand if I came. Perhaps you could join us at the Bendigo Sheep and Wool Show in July in Australia instead?
Your booth is beautiful! No EYF for me this year but am making plans for the next…
Sometimes life is beautiful…
Beautiful jumper, would love to knit one.
EYF looks like so much fun! One day!
Wow! What an amazing prize! One day I will make it up to EYF hopefully but being able to knit this would certainly lift the spirits at not being able to go this year!
Sure wish I could visit your booth in person. Looks so Loop!
Sadly, I took the decision to stay away from EYF this year despite being just across the water as I’m having work done on the house and my budget for gorgeous stash is precisely nought. Blink looks just the sort of jersey I need for in between seasons though…
Someday I’ll get there! Your booth looks so Loop.
Sorry for the second post- my first one wasn’t showing up
Pics of your stall at EYF look amazing. Love love love this kit, especially the duck egg! Insta @lindsey lofty
