New Madelinetosh Colours!

New Madelinetosh Colours!
Beautiful Liar

Did you know that we carry over 100 colours of Madelinetosh yarns, including our exclusive colours London Cosmopolitan and Olivia?!

Each season, Madelinetosh brings out new colours and we pick the best of them, to add to our collection.

Here are the beauties that have arrived for Spring/Summer ’18 (already!).

Lots of the latests colourways are gently speckled.

Some of the speckled colourways are lovely and subtle like Maiyet and Arya below. We think the colours below would make an amazing ‘fade’, with their varying degrees of acid green and grey tones.

While other colourways, such as Hydroponic, include speckles and splodges of strong colour.

Pinwheel Mitten Knit~Along

Pinwheel Mitten KAL at Loop London

While we wait for spring to arrive, let’s knit a pair of Pinwheel mittens! We’re hosting a Knit-Along (KAL for the uninitiated) beginning on January 26th and running throughout the month of February. Discussions will be held over on our Ravelry forum page.

You are welcome to go there now to discuss yarn choices. Although the Pinwheel pattern has been knit in Isager Highland, we will also be knitting a pair in Merino Light (you can never have too many pairs of mitts in the winter).

The forum will include posts about yarn and colour choices, cast-on methods, knitting a stranded pattern, magic loop and discussion of ribbing techniques.

We are planning a Sprinkle KAL beginning in March and a KAL for a new kit we are working on, after that. Please let us know if there are any other KALs you’d like to see this year. We’d love to hear from you!

Juju’s Loops Auction for Shelter

Charity Auction at Loop London
A huge thanks to all of you who bid in our charity auction to raise money for Shelter. We are bowled over by the generosity and eagerness to help!
Julia Fitzsimmons has placed the highest bid of a whopping £275 which means that we will be sending a donation for £550 to Shelter (as we promised to double the highest bid!). We’re so happy to do this as it’s such a great organisation that helps so many.
Besides a copy of our book, Juju’s Loops, Julia will be receiving a skein of Casbah and a personal drawing and dedication in the book, our last copy at the shop!

  1. I would like to join the Pinwheel Mitts KAL but not sure how to join in with others on Ravelry. I have just purchased the pattern and intend to use some of my stash of Rowan fine tweed. Will be grateful for some help as I can’t work out how to post my intentions.
    Cheers
    Brenda
