Springtime Crochet Magic!

You know what they say about April showers — they bring May flowers! But you don’t need to suffer the rain to make the most of all the treats we have in store from Claire Montgomerie and more!

We’re getting ready for some gorgeous blossoms arriving at the beginning of next month with the launch of dear Claire Montgomerie’s Granny Square Flower Card Deck, which you can preorder now! As fans of Claire’s original Granny Square Card Deck, these are super fun, super quick, super addictive makes that’ll have you on your way to an incredible piecework piece in no time, and this new flower-themed deck is chock-a-block with fabulous frills that will make you feel all the joys of spring.

To make matters even better, Claire will be joining us on 17 May to host a very special Floral Crochet Workshop at Loop. Learn first-hand the techniques and skills you’ll need to work these 50 super engaging patterns from the author herself. These two sessions (either morning or afternoon on the 17th) hosted next door to the shop at Frequency Coffee promise to be delightful opportunities to slow down and chat and craft with like-minded people. We can’t wait!

If you’re looking for some lovely tools to speed your crochet journey this spring, we’ve just received some utterly wonderful crochet hooks from ChiaoGoo. New Tunisian Crochet Hooks and Flexible Tunisian Crochet Hooks can be used for any type of crochet, but they’re specially designed for Tunisian or Afghan crochet, where a larger number of stitches are worked at any given time, which creates a denser fabric. These hooks are so fine and beautiful — we just love them! We’re also loving ChiaoGoo’s carrying case for double-pointed knitting needles and crochet hooks. It comes empty so you can fill it with all your faves!

Our final piece of crochet goodness is top secret for now, but come back next week for a brand new original pattern and kit from Loop! Fans of Claire Montgomerie’s Loop Crochet Workshop and Granny Square and Floral Granny Square Card Deck are going to be over the moon — as will those who love (Vi)laines boulettes! We’ll have all the details on launch day next Friday.
Jessie Chorley Embroidery Masterclass — New Date Added!

Due to popular demand we have added a new date of Jessie Chorley’s Hand Embroidered Illustration Masterclass! The other three dates of Jessie’s Loop masterclass for 2025 have already sold out, so this is a really incredible chance to be able to learn from her! Unlike the other dates for Jessie’s class, the newly added 11 May workshop will take place right here in the shop (rather than next door at Frequency Coffee), so you’ll be surrounded by tons of inspiring yarny goodness. Jessie’s storytelling stitches are a unique and versitile feather to add to your crafty cap.
Kits in Stock

A bit of shoulder accessorising for shoulder season? Two classic Loop kits are back in the shop! The La Bien Aimée Cashmerino Tiny Tassel Kits and Loop’s special colourway of Florence Spurling’s Scout Mini Kits have been restocked. These two shawlettes are sweet, playful, and super fun to wear! Each of these patterns requires portions of a skein of at least one yarn, and these kits save you from buying more than you need. Plus, both come with a project bag to keep your knits together!

Nami Horikawa’s Dot to Dot Sashiko Kits are back in stock as well and as lovely as ever! We love this style of decorative stitching, and the opportunity to follow Nami’s stitches, a craft she has perfected over so many years, is a real treat. The Found Bird and Drawstring Bag Sashiko Kits are so meditative to make and stunning to behold once finished!
