Let’s have a look at some of these gorgeous kits! Pattern previews are live today on Ravelry if you need some help planning which one to make. It’s not an easy choice, they’re all so beautiful!

Venus

Venus Shawl – designed by Marion Em. It doesn’t get much more luxurious than this generous asymmetrical wrap knit in La Bien Aimeé Merino Singles, and La Bien Aimeé Mohair Silk held together. With a gorgeous shell motif, slipped stitch lines, and lots of squishy garter stitch throughout, it’s sure to be a statement piece.

Sulina

Sulina Shawl – designed by Stephanie Earp – Woolfolk Luft creates a beautifully soft and snuggly crescent shaped shawl with a gorgeous centre cable. ‘Luft’ literally means air in Danish and perfectly describes the sumptuous and airy merino with a cotton core.

Deer

Deer Shawl – designed by Mariya Matveeva. This beautifully textured lofty shawl is knit with yarn from one of our favourite UK brands, The Grey Sheep Co. The Hampshire 4ply wool is reared, shorn, spun and hand-dyed in Hampshire. It’s a lofty and rustic yarn made with only pure virgin wool, no chlorine chemical treatments, no super wash – just as nature intended.

Windy Fields

Windy Fields Shawl –  designed by Marjut Lund-Rahkola. Windy Fields is lighter than air knit in Ito Sensai Silk and Mohair lace weight yarn. A beautiful lily of the valley lace motif gives it some texture and that lovely open lacey feel. We have this kit up for you in three vibrant and beautiful colours; String, Prune and Mustard with Cherry Blossom coming soon!

Kupka

Kupka Shawl  – designed by Faïza Mebazaa. A traditional triangular-shaped shawl, our Kupka kit includes Plucky Knitter Primo DK. Primo DK is new to Loop and is a super luxurious cashmere and Merino blend wool with a nice round twist. It’s perfect for the cable and textured stitch panels throughout the shawl. We love Plucky Knitter yarns which are all hand-dyed on their custom bases made in small US mills.

Granada

Granada Shawl – designed by Claudia Quintanilla. Granada is a square-shaped shawl allowing you to double up the fabric when it’s folded to wear. The beauty of this shawl comes from the texture created by different stitch patterns. Isager Tvinni is a light fingering merino wool that makes a durable and beautiful fabric. We do not ordinarily stock Tvinni at Loop but we’ve included it especially for this beautiful kit.

Quicksand

Quicksand Shawl – designed by Hanna Maciejewska. Quicksand is knit with La Bien Aimeé Merino DK. A bouncy and soft 100% Merino wool hand-dyed in Aimee’s signature colour Peerie Voe, it’s so beautiful! A cable brioche pattern creates a gorgeous and snuggly triangular shawl showing off that beautiful hand-dyed colour.

Seascape

Seascape Crochet Shawl – designed by Kathryn Merrick – For crocheters, the Seascape shawl is a large rectangular shaped shawl crocheted with four skeins of Life in the Long Grass Fine Sock. With each colour change, a rippling seascape motif appears. The shawl uses the intarsia technique and charts for the motif.

Kostner

Kostner Shawl – designed by Erin Jensen – Six skeins of Plucky Knitter Primo DK make up the Kostner shawl kit. This large and tartan inspired beauty is finished with a vertical applied crochet chain. A long fringe on each end gives this large shawl a charming and fun look.

All of these beautiful kits are available to order now. Some kits like the Quicksand Shawl and Venus Shawl are available for pre-order as they won’t be shipping until mid – May. Don’t forget we have all the needles and any other items you’ll need for finishing your beautiful shawls to make them ready to wear. Ravelry previews go live today so you can check you have everything you need to start planning. We can’t wait to start seeing some of these in person!

It’s worth mentioning that all the patterns in the book will have a comprehensive shawl book package available to view on Lainemagazine.com when the book launches on the 30th of April. You’ll find lots more information about the designers and the various techniques used.

We stock many of the yarns for some of the other designs in the book. We’ve listed just a few of them here but as always, if you have your heart set on something and can’t find a suitable yarn, let us know! We love the challenge of finding you the perfect yarn and colour. You can check Ravelry for any details on the following patterns.
