As If Tee by Shay Johnson – knitted in aran weight and a small amount of mohair, you could try Malabrigo Rios or Life In The Long Grass Aran, with a ball of Ito Sensai. This would make a great layer for wearing over summer dresses or with skirts

Quince and Co Bolan Tee at Loop London

Bolan Tee by Leila Raabe for Quince & Co. – this pattern is a staff favourite at Loop! Our Loopettes have used BC Garn Lino to knit theirs, but you could also use Quince & Co. Sparrow, which is what the pattern calls for

Cloudy Day Cardi by Carrie Bostick Hoge on Ravelry

Cloudy Day Cardi by Carrie Bostick Hoge – this little short sleeve cardi would make a great layer for cooler mornings or evenings. It is knitted in Woolfolk TOV, but you could also use Brooklyn Tweed Shelter for something really lightweight and lovely

Udo by Orlane Sucche on Ravelry

Udo by Orlane Sucche – with either elbow- or full-length sleeve options, this colour work jumper is knitted in 4ply so is light enough to wear in warmer weather. Use Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift for a lightweight fabric, or CaMaRose Yaku for softer option

Accessories

Shetland shopper projecy from kouvive on Ravelry

The Shetland Shopper by Gudrun Johnston – this great little bag is knitted in a DK weight, we think it would be great in Ricorumi Cotton DK, there are 80 colours to choose from! The photo here is from kouvive’s project page on Ravelry, we love the fact she made the handles a little shorter, it makes the perfect bag for carrying a knitting project

Quince and Co Artichoke bag at Loop London

Artichoke Bag by Pam Allen for Quince & Co. – another lovely little bag for carrying your summer essentials, the Artichoke bag is knitted in Quince & Co. Sparrow, but you could also use BC Garn Lino for a brighter coloured one

Krobus shawl by Sylvia McFadden on Ravelry

Krobus shawl by Sylvia McFadden – an interesting square shawl designed to be knitted in a sport weight cotton, we think this one would be a great project for BC Garn Alba. It would also make a great little throw to take to the park with you!

Tiny Tassels shawl kit in Field Notes at Loop London

Tiny Tassels by Karin Saray for Loop – one of our favourite Loop patterns, and it’s a free one! This little shawlette is great for popping on over a summer dress, and we now have a new kit option available in Madelinetosh Pashmina, in the lovely colour Field Notes!

Thank you everyone!

We want to say a big thank you to anyone who bought anything from a button to an interchangeable needle set last Friday; every bit helped us to raise the money from haberdashery sales to donate £600 to the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, which is a truly wonderful charity that does great ongoing projects with young people and helps educate and work with communities to fight against racism. Thank you so much for your support.
