Summer Sale and Summer Reading — Gorgeous Yarns and Magnificent Mags
What’s not to love about Madelinetosh Merino Light? Perfect for everything from hardy socks to delicate lacework, this yarn has earned a permanent spot in many stashes over the years.
We’ve been carrying Madelinetosh Merino Light at Loop for more than 10 years, and from the first moment it landed on our shelves it has been a gorgeous and reliable choice. And right now, while supplies last, it’s available at a steel of a price as we clear some colours and make room for more! An incredible 26 colours of this fab yarn are on sale right now, including “Short Court”, pictured above.
This yarn is really so versatile. You could use it to make our Toe Up Afterthought Heel Socks, put your own colourful spin on Florence Spurling’s Scout Shawl (we also have a kit for this shawl using Madelinetosh Merino Light), or add some bold stripes to a living room or child’s bedroom with Madelinetosh’s own Easy Peasy Blanket.
Once these sale colours are gone they’ll be gone for good, so make sure to stock up now! But don’t worry, this base isn’t going anywhere. You can shop the full Merino Light range to your heart’s content! We also have tons of other lovely skeins in our sale section, including other yarns, patterns and publications, haberdashery, and even some wonderful things by Sophie Digard. Be sure to check them out!
The new issue of Laine Magazine is making its way to our shelves and is available to preorder now! Issue 22, Aalto, is named for the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, and all the pictures were taken in the Paimio Sanatorium designed by him. Featuring 11 knitting patterns and loads of interesting articles and features, this is the perfect collection to transition from summer to autumn. We are totally in love with the Aika sweater by Megumi Shinagawa featured on the cover, which is knit in The Uncommon Thread’s Cloud Fingering. Super cosy yarn and an open lace pattern are the perfect combo as the evenings start to cool down and the earliest hints of autumn begin to arrive. Other yarns we carry that are featured in this issue include Jamieson’s Spindrift, Isager Spinni, Isager Silk Mohair, Woolfolk Tynd, and La Bien Aimée Mohair Silk or Soyeux. Please note, preorders will ship on 30 August when this issue launches.
We’re super lucky to have a lovely array of the always-enchanting Amirisu Magazine available for you! We’ve been huge fans of Amirisu right from the beginning. In fact, we were the first stockist in the world to carry the magazine! Now we’re so pleased to be able to revisit a few old favourites from as far back as 2017. The fact that these patterns look just as wearable and interesting to knit today as they did when they first hit our shelves is a testament to Amirisu’s timeless quality. If you missed these gems the first time around now is your chance to pickup a copy!
Are you ready to crochet up a storm this August? The Ricorumi Shrooom Kit and Shrooom Booklet are just the ticket! This perfect pairing has all you need to get your hook stuck in and start making a sweet fairy land of different shapes, sizes, and colours of crocheted mushrooms. The Shrooom Kit includes an impressive range of 35 different yarns, including three balls of Ricorumi Twinkly Twinkly and two of Ricorumi Lamé. They’re the perfect mix to make the 11 whimsical patterns in the Shrooom Booklet, as well as any other quirky characters from Ricorumi collections like Element Heads, Bees + Fruits + Flowers, and Cute, Cuter, Kawaii!
Enjoy the weekend!
Good day, I would like to purchase a knitting pattern. If it is not a pdf, how do I get it to South Africa?
