The Border Mill North Coast Tweed

The Border Mill North Coast Tweed

A wonderful new yarn has arrived at Loop for the Autumn. The Border Mill North Coast Tweed is a beautiful 100% Shetland Wool in a true 4ply weight. Best of all, there are 40 colours to choose from! We’re very excited to show this to you this week.

The Border Mill is a small fibre processing mill nestled in the Scottish Borders. They specialise in spinning alpaca fleece (Loop also stocks their Alpaca Tweed, in exclusive colours!), but they also process lots of wonderful wools, especially rare breeds.

Gorgeous neutrals

The colour palette for this yarn has been inspired by the North Coast of Scotland (hence the name). This range has a colour for everyone, and lots of lovely clear bright colours that would be perfect for colour work.

We’re over the moon that The Border Mill have made these special 50g balls for Loop, not available anywhere else.

We can see this yarn becoming a true staple at Loop – it’s perfect for every project. Think cardigans, hats, mittens, colour work sweaters, scarves shawls and even cosy bed socks!

We’re so excited about this yarn! And we are equally excited that Olga Buraya-Kefelian has designed a brand new pattern for Loop, using the North Coast Tweed! It will be launching at our New York pop-up, as well as in our London shop and online, at the end of Autumn, so stay tuned.

And another note for this week – Ravelry previews are live today for Laine Magazine issue 9! The magazine itself launches next Friday 20th, but you can now see all the wonderful projects and their yarns over on Ravelry, so you can start planning your projects ahead of the release next week.

We now have all the back issues of Laine in stock at Loop, right from issue 1.
