These days at Loop

These days at Loop

We want to share with you information about Loop and what is happening here during this difficult time.

Opening hours and the London shop

We are now closed, as of Friday 20th. From now on, Monday through Saturday we’ll be in the shop pulling and packing your online orders from 11 til 5pm UK time for as long as we can keep doing so. We will not be opening to the public.

We want to thank you for shopping with us so far, and we really hope that you continue to do so in the coming weeks. We hope you’re able to find solace in the coming weeks through making and crafting, perhaps learning new techniques or skills.

This was an incredibly hard decision to make, but we want to let you all know we are still here for you; whether it is at the end of the phone or via email. We’re looking forward to a time where we can open our doors to you again.

During this time if you have a knitting query, need help putting colours together or any help or advice whatsoever, we will be here to help and respond via email and over the phone. If there is a pattern you’re thinking you’d like to knit we’re happy to make suggestions and take colour photos, and to help you work it out remotely.

As we have previously mentioned on social media, our UK shipping is free for now, until at least 1st May.

Goings on

Beautiful things are still arriving in the shop, and we will be keeping you up to date on our Instagram – @looplondonloves. We really do love Instagram – its such a fantastic community and helps people stay connected during these stressful times. If you don’t use Instagram perhaps consider making an account, it’s jam-packed full of inspiration and solace.

Brooklyn Tweed yarns are all 30% off – until May 18th. It is part of their own initiative called #BTApartTogether. With this initiative, Brooklyn Tweed are offering all their customers who are experiencing financial hardship during this stressful time the ability to purchase their yarns at more accessible price point , while also supporting their favourite BT-carrying brick-and-mortar shop.

As well as this, from 18th March to 15th May all BT by Brooklyn Tweed patterns are free on BrooklynTweed.com (no code needed) or on Ravelry (with coupon code – check the link just above for coupons).

You will also be able to buy yarn through Brooklyn Tweed directly in a ‘pay what you choose’ program, and you can nominate the money from a sale to go to a LYS of your choice. See the little flow chart below!

Some things going on online

There are several knitalongs happening right now – we will share more in the coming weeks but for today please see the ones below.

Andrea Mowry is having a DreaReneeKnits Sweater KAL at the moment over on Instagram and Ravelry. The Instagram hashtag can be seen here, and you can see her Ravelry page here. The hashtag she is using is #drksweaterkal.

There’s also a #mindfulmakingcal20 just starting – it’s an any-craft-along using materials, patterns and colours that bring total joy and a sense of peace and togetherness/support. You can see the hashtag here.

Once again, we just want to say thank you so much for your support so far, and we hope you are all safe and healthy. Much love to you all xox
