Torhild’s Colours

A new kit has arrived at Loop! Torhild’s Colours is a wonderful new pattern from Isager, and we have four different kits available. We’ll be talking about the kit this week, and showing you all the great variations we have.

You might recognise this lovely sweater from one of our Meet the Maker films a few weeks ago – Julie Arkell was wearing her beautiful green version in the film we made about her!

Susan, owner of Loop, met Julie for a socially distanced coffee a little while ago and was able to take some lovely photos of Julie in her own version of Torhild’s Colours.

The pattern itself is a simple one, so it’s great for beginner garment knitters. The sweater is knitted in garter stitch in pieces and seamed together, with a little bit of short row shaping to shape the shoulders and back neck.

The kit for Torhild’s Colours comes in four different colour ways, including Julie’s colour way, which we have called Julie Green! The kit includes all the yarn you need, a printed copy of the pattern and a Loop canvas tote bag.

Torhild’s Colours is knitted in Isager Spinni and Isager Japansk, using one strand of each held together. The Japansk is a 100% cotton, so this is a great little sweater for putting on over summer dresses and tops! The pattern comes in one size, but there is lots of ease built in to the pattern. All the measurements are on our website.

If you fancy putting together a different colour palette for your version of Torhild’s Colours, perhaps to match your favourite dress or your new sandals, we also stock the printed pattern and both yarns separately. You will need 200g of Isager Spinni and 200g of Isager Japansk – four skeins or balls of each.

Just a note…

These kits sold out in just a few days when we very first announced they were here! We’re so happy you like this one as much as we do!

We have more of the Julie Green kits in stock now, and the Red and Mustard colour ways will be restocked in a few days time. We will be receiving a second delivery of the Julie Green kits next week. Additionally, we’re going to be restocking LOTS of Spinni colours in the next few days, so if you like the idea of picking your own colours as mentioned above, you’ll be able to do that.
