True Beauties from Storiatipic and Mina Perhonen!
More loveliness from the sisters behind Storiatipic! We kicked off the year with Nelly and Lolita scarves — now we’re super thrilled to bring you Anne and Kiki!

Storiatipic was born out of a passion for exploration, a love of different cultures, and a deep admiration of the craft traditions that get honed over generations. The French-Italian twins Marie and Françoise Gozard were raised to always look beyond the horizon — a life-long quest that eventually led Marie to spend several years in India, where she fell in love with the bright colours and incredible materials of the country’s traditional textiles.

Storiatipic is about uniting the pair’s European roots with the expertise of Indian craftworkers, and the craftsmanship that goes into these pieces is truly stunning. Designed in France and handmade in India using traditional artisinal practices, there is no mistaking the care that goes into each Storiatipic piece.

The Anne Scarf is made of pure linen and printed with flowers, stripes, and dots, with the finishing touch of embroidery providing a signature Storiatipic accent. This is linen like you’ve never felt it. You could honestly mistake it for cashmere it’s so soft, and it’s just a gorgeous weight for spring/summer wear. It’s large enough to wrap loosely around you but it doesn’t have the bulk of some larger shawls, so you can still tie it close around your neck to wear with a light jacket.

The Kiki Scarf is made of cotton and features a paisley design embellished with embroidered stitches. The scarf is rectangular, with a square pattern repeated twice — you can either leave it open and wear it like a shawl or fold it in half and wear it like a bandana. It’s airy and breathable while still providing enough warmth for chilly mornings and evenings.

The best thing about the gorgeous pieces from Storiatipic is how wearable they are. They’re exquisitely crafted, but that doesn’t make them fussy or kept-for-best. These are versatile accessories that will quickly become staples!
Mina Perhonen Fabric Swatches

More stunning swatches have arrived from Mina Perhonen! Every time we receive a collection of these it’s like opening a treasure box. We never know exactly what we’ll find inside and what adventures they will take us on. Mina Perhonen is a Tokyo-based fashion and textile brand founded in 1995 by the designer Akira Minagawa and these fabric swatches are one of our favourite expressions of the studio’s mission to create beautiful things that grow richer with time rather than fading, and their ethos of wasting as little as possible. They recognise the inspiration even the smallest offcut of fabric holds, and this is their way of sharing that inspiration with you! In turn, each stitch you add and each new place you take your little piece of Mina adds to the story told by these compelling motifs. It’s craft joy at its absolute best.
Embroidery Magazine

The March/April issue of Embroidery Magazine has landed and it’s stunning. It explores the wide world of embroidery and how it’s evolving and changing at the hands of some truly innovative stitchers. Peer through the eyes of Textile Curator Helen Adams as she brings together some of the most interesting works and materials for a first-of-its-kind show at the Saatchi Gallery!
Enjoy!
