Visits from VIP Knitters
Stephen West

We’ve got lots of Very Important Knitting People (VIKP, don’t you know?) visiting us soon. Of course, everyone who knits is important, (this goes without saying, no?) but we have some special knitting visitors coming from far and wide!

Those of you still in London in August can ignore that silly circus in Stratford; we’ve got Stephen West coming to Islington! Join us on Saturday the 11th from 2-4pm. Stephen will be unveiling his latest Mystery KAL (knit-along shawl pattern), signing books, previewing WestKnits Four and chatting!

This mystery Kal has almost 1500 people knitting it right now! Stephen says it is his favourite design. The big reveal will be very exciting so please join us in the shop that day and bring along your shawl.

We also have some great VIKP teaching classes this autumn/winter. Our Brandon Mably class filled quickly so if you are interested in any of the new ones, get your knitting skates on (mixed Canadian metaphors on my part ~ sorry).

October brings Aoibhe Ni from Ireland to teach her Tunisian crochet method.

Her shawls are stunning and so unlike anything else we are seeing.

In November, Franklin Habit of the Panopticon blog, is coming to visit  from Chicago and offering a series of workshops. This is breaking news. I Just found out twenty minutes ago. We should be scheduling his workshops on our website in the next week. I’ll keep you updated.

Kathryn Merrick will be visiting from the States and teaching a crochet masterclass in December.

Kathryn’s Babette blanket is a Loop favourite. Our shop window version never fails to attract passers-by.

And in the new year we are having Cécile Franconie back from France for more workshops. Her last embroidery workshop was very popular so we are having her back to lead crochet workshops.

Hope to see you at one of the classes!
