Welcoming the Baby Cloud Cardigan to Loop!
Our most phenomenally fluffy number is getting a younger sibling — it’s a darling makeover in miniature!
At the beginning of 2023, we launched the Cloud Cardigan, a super cosy piece dreamed up by Susan with technical design by our very own Fabienne Gassman. Needless to say, this piece that somehow combined your hippest bomber jacket with your softest sweater was a hit.
And now, a year on, we’re so excited to introduce a version every bit as soft and snuggly — this time for your sweetest little ones: The Baby Cloud Cardigan! You can keep your tots super warm but looking cool with this clever combination of uber lofty Woolfolk Flette DK with the Cloud Cardigan signature wrist detail in Biches & Bûches Le Petit Lambswool. (The wrist cuffs are also super practical for getting sleeves out of the way of art projects, mealtimes, and other messes.)
Unlike the original Cloud pattern, Baby Cloud design includes kid-friendly details like a button closure for extra warmth and three neckline finishing options: plain (like the grown-ups one), hooded, and hooded with super cute teddy ears added on. The kit comes with enough yarn for the hoodless version — if you want to add a hood or teddy ears you can add an extra skein of Flette, regardless of which pattern size you’re using. The pattern is sized to fit newborns up to age five and the kits cover from 0 to 2 years old (size A fits 0 to 6 months old and size B fits sizes 6 months to 2 years).
We have Baby Cloud Kits available in three different colours and two different sizes. Pale Grey, Fawn, and Cream are the three darling neutrals we’ve chosen for these kits. Each one comes with enough yarn to make a hoodless cardigan (make sure to choose the right size! And don’t forget to add an extra skein of Flette if you’re planning to make a hood) as well as a printed pattern and a Loop Dove of Peace Project Bag. We’re selling our final stock of BT’s Tones and Shelter, two worsted weight wollen spun yarns that can be used totally interchangeably.
