A World of Crafting Goodness at Loop

A World of Crafting Goodness at Loop

One of our favourite things to do here at Loop is to join all the corners of the craft and design world here in our cosy little shop in London, and we’re chuffed to bits that so many of our international friends have shared their wonderful creations with us this week.

Nathlalie Lété’s Big Practical Tote is large enough to fit your whole kit and caboodle!

First up, the fabulous French artist Nathlalie Lété has sent us a gorgeous and super practical Big Tote Bag. Nathalie does more than paint — she builds worlds. The animals and little bits of flora featured are 100% Nathalie, and at 42 x 48 cm, this polyester bag is a super practical piece that will bring a bit of whimsy to anything from your weekly shop to an especially bulky crafting project. To make it even more convenient, this tote easily packs away into a smaller pouch to make it easy to throw into your normal handbag just in case. Our whole collection of Nathalie’s silk scarves, haberdashery pouches, smaller totes, and more is definitely worth checking out!

This beautiful haberdashery pouch is one of the lovely things that has arrived at Loop this week.

From Japan, we’ve received Haberdashery Pouches from the vintage clothing buyer turned illustrator Miyuki Matsuo. We’ve had these pouches before and we are huge fans. A good haberdashery pouch is such a key element of any crafter’s toolkit, and this one is excellent. The gusset means you can fit in lots of goodies and the secure zipper means you’ll never lose a tapestry needle in a sea of yarn. Plus, the design is woven rather than printed, making it both delightful and durable!

From Denmark, a few precious kits have arrived from Mette Mehlsen. Plant Dyed By Mehlsen yarn is in a league of its own, and we’ve adored it since we first laid eyes on it. Mette’s crocheted scarf kits, which all use her incredible hand-dyed yarns, are Loop stalwarts that we are always thrilled to receive. This week we’ve received Zinnia Kits in the colours “rhubarb” and “cosmos”, Wildwood Kits in “forest lake” and “rose”, and Flower Power Kits in “spring”. We know a lot of you have been hotly anticipating this restock!

And to top it all off, the magically talented Layla Qing of Qing Fibre has sent us so many goodies. We’ve had a huge restock of Qing Dashing, a 100% merino wool sourced from South Africa with a unique silky shine and, of course, Layla’s incredibly vibrant colours. Our Qing Merino Fingering Fizz Wizz version of the Loop classic Tiny Tassels Kit is a joy to have in the shop, and we always feel a little lift when we wear this eye-popping colour. Our Pop Spots Kit combines Qing Merino Singles with The Uncommon Thread BFL singles and La Bien Aimée Merino Singles in a pattern that’s a blast to knit and just totally stunning once completed.

Don’t forget to pick up your copy of Laine 24! The latest issue launches today and celebrates the vibrancy of spring with all the fab features and new patterns that make us love Laine Magazine so much. Make sure to read about the patterns we’re most excited about in last week’s blog!

Happy weekend!
