Autumn Inspiration at Loop!

Favourite Autumn Patterns at Loop

We had some cooler weather this week in London and felt the first tingles of autumn creeping in. Or was it just wishful thinking? The warmer yarns are starting to arrive at the shop and it got us thinking about some of the great patterns, some new, some not so new, we’d love to knit this autumn.

Of course we couldn’t do a roundup like this without first mentioning the king of “sweater weather”, Brooklyn Tweed. Above is the Stranger Cardigan, made in Shelter. Doesn’t it look cosy? It’s lovely in grey – so versatile – but we can’t get enough of golden colours like Hayloft, pictured. A golden cabled cardigan? It’s autumn encapsulated.

We also adore this lace-front cardigan in Loft, below. We’d love to see it in an autumn-leaf red like “Wool Socks”.

Favourite Autumn Patterns at LoopIf you’re looking for something simple and classic, how about this pullover from Lori Versaci? It’s called Lite and it’s knit in The Fibre Co. Meadow, a laceweight yarn – so it is indeed light! Perfect for layering when you’re not quite sure what the weather is going to do. We’ve chosen another berry shade, Bergamot, in Meadow. Speaking of Versaci Knits, her designs are some of our new favourites, so be sure to check out her other patterns!

We’ve also just received more patterns from The Brown Stitch and are loving this hoodie. It would knit up beautifully in Quince & Co Osprey.

Still can’t bear to knit with heavier yarns yet? Not quite ready for sweater season? Maybe an accessory by new-to-Loop designer Lee Meredith is what you need. How fun is this moebius cowl?

The instructions actually allow for you to knit it in any weight you like, but we think it would look amazing in a 4ply solid colour like Madelinetosh Sock in Silver Fox, mixed with a gradient yarn like Zauberball in Lilac Breeze.

We have loads more new patterns in stock from the likes of Irish Girlie Knits, Quince & Co and Paulina P, plus soon we’ll be getting the stunning Allium Collection from The Fibre Co and the Brooklyn Tweed Men collection! Oh – and for those of you who fell in love with Charm in last week’s blog post, don’t worry – more copies of this sell-out pattern are being printed and will be available next week and the digital version will be available too! There’s plenty of autumn inspiration at Loop these days to keep your needles going – happy knitting!
