Crepe Myrtle shawl
What an exciting week! Our beautiful new Crepe Myrtle shawl has launched today! Designed for us by Olga Buraya-Kefelian, we now have kits in two different colour ways, and individual printed patterns, available online, in store and at our NYC pop-up, which is open this weekend.
Olga used the beautiful North Coast Tweed 4ply from The Border Mill for Crepe Myrtle. This is a lovely soft 100% Shetland wool, that comes in a beautiful vibrant palette.
The kit includes all the yarn you’ll need to make the shawl; three balls of the main colour and one each of the five contrast colours, as well as the printed pattern and a ‘Loop in Manhattan‘ cotton tote bag. The tote bag is a little extra gift from us, as the kit is launching at our NYC pop-up shop.
The pink and plum version uses three balls of Rockpool, and one ball each of Rosa Canina, Erica, Summer Isles, Willowherb and Achiltibuie.
The blue version uses three balls of Bealach na Ba, and one ball each of Balnakeil, Scourie, Loch Maree, Atlantic and Isle of Ewe.
It’s such a clever pattern – it can be knit using either brioche or tuck stitches and Olga’s instructions for both are really clear.
We have the printed pattern available without the kit, if you would like to pick your own colours, or your some yarn from your stash!

We are also launching the amazing Flower Power crochet shawl kit today – at both our NYC pop-up and our London and online store!
The kit comes with 24 balls of beautiful plant dyed Mehlsen yarn, the printed pattern, and a ‘Loop in Manhattan‘ tote bag, like the Crepe Myrtle kit.
