Crochet Cool
We’re having a love affair with crochet this autumn. We’ve got many new products to help and inspire hookers everywhere.
The Vogueknitting Crochet cover above features a beautiful crochet shawl by Kathryn Merrick, who is one of our favourite crochet designers. We loved her Babette Blanket so much that we made our own version. Kathy is coming from America to teach two crochet masterclasses at Loop in the first weekend of December. So why not treat yourself to a date with your hook before you begin the Christmas craziness?
We are also thrilled to announce October Tunisian Crochet workshops with innovative Irish designer, Aoibhe Ni (pronounced Eva).
Tunisian crochet uses a longer hook and is sort of a hybrid between knitting and crochet. Aoibhe makes beautiful and unusual lace this way.
New in the shop, as I write this post, are these amazing carved Brazilian Bloodwood hooks from Texas.
I’ve rarely seen tools as beautiful as these. They fit perfectly in your hand and have a beautiful weight, not to mention the touch, colour and patina of the woods. Furl also make hooks in Black and White Ebony and Mexican Cocobolo. These are so beautiful!
Finally we have some inspiring new crochet toys handmade in Argentina for Miga de Pan.
Great as gifts or as inspiration so get hooking ~ Juju at Loop
