KnitNation & Loop
Ahhhh!… Well, we have finally recovered from the fabulous KnitNation- what can we say but that it was the most perfect fair we have done! The size was just right, the teachers and classes on offer were amazing (I even got the wonderful Nancy Bush to inscribe Knitting Lace of Estonian for Miss Juju!) and we met the most wonderful people.
Best of all though, was finding a couple more British Indie Dyers, whose yarn I loved so much I just had to have it for the shop, so everyone else can see it too.My favourites were Skein Queen and Juno. Soon (September hopefully) they will grace the shelves of Loop and we can all drool.
The most amazing sight was when the doors first opened on Thursday night for the preview and the incredible stampede to the Wollmeise stand! We’d never seen anything like it. We got to meet Claudia, who is Wollmeise and she is the loveliest person. She bought one of Buddug’s heart with a bird brooches from us as she loved it and said it was the same bird as her name.
There was also Ysolda’s fun photo booth, Susan Crawford’s book signing for her new book ‘Vintage Gifts to Knit’ and the Ravelry party to end it all. Loop was proud to be a sponsor of the party.

We can’t wait for the next KnitNation!
