May Day Beauties from Near and Far

They’re back! It was such an honour to have Mette Mehlsen design the Anemone Scarf especially for Loop’s 20th anniversary and we’re totally delighted to have her kits for the scarf back in the shop.

The Original Anemone Scarf Kit became an instant Loop classic when it launched last July. It has so many of our favourite things: gorgeous pastel colours, loopy floral pops of joy, a spirit of play and creativity, and of course Mette’s incredible naturally dyed wool!

Mette lives and works in Denmark, using the landscape and the plants found there as her inspiration. Over the years we’ve had the privilege of sharing many of her knit and crocheted scarf and shawl kits, as well as à la carte cakes of her truly gorgeous Naturally Hand Dyed Wool. Mette’s patterns are genius, but her kits always allow a little room for the crafter to put their own stamp on things. Perhaps you mix and sequence your colours a little bit differently, perhaps you make your version a little wider and shorter, perhaps you add a few more flowers. So many creative options are possible.

We just adore Mette’s work and we hope this beautiful piece will be part of Loop’s story for many years to come.
