Shetland Trader and Simmer Dim
This new pattern book by Gudrun Johnston, “The Shetland Trader” is a favourite at Loop. It has so many patterns that we want to knit. Most of us have our eye on more than one. I adore the lace cardi on the front, and would love to see it done in Madelinetosh Prairie, if it can make gauge. I must swatch! (BTW, if you haven’t seen the amazing new colours of Madelinetosh yarns that we got in stock at the beginning of June, you must check them out!)
Another pattern by the Shetland Trader (not in the book) is the Simmer Dim shawl. Our shop sample above is made in Juno Alice Sock in sage.
Susan and I are in Ohio at the big yarn trade fair, TNNA. We have ordered some very exciting stuff for the shop! We will be previewing some of our finds at Knit Nation in July. Expect lace weight cashmere and ChiaoGoo red-cable lace needles amongst other exciting finds. I’ll tell you more soon…
