Okay we got a bit excited about the Kozmos and Pearl combo, and knit up a shawl.  Susan adapted the Lala Scarf, from Greetings from Knit Cafe, into a shawl, by making it a little longer. She needed just under one skein of the Juno Pearl in Golden Peach and 1.5 skeins of the Alchemy Kozmos in Old Rose. We figure she could just as easily have made the edging a little less flamboyant and got it out of one skein, as it is in the book. Pretty, huh? We love Madelinetosh yarns at Loop! We started out by carrying just her sock yarns but we loved them so much we started to add others to the collection. Her hand dyed yarn are rich semi-solids in vintage looking colours.  We recently added her aran weight Vintage yarn and her lace weight Prairie yarn. Now her luxury sock yarn, Pashmina has arrived at Loop. It is a 75% merino, 15% silk, and 10% cashmere blend which is softer than her regular sock weight with a subtle silk sheen. Really beautiful! If you popped into Loop during our first three weeks of opening, you might have seen my Babette blanket in progress. I’ve been crocheting squares in spare moments, for the last six weeks. Well, it’s finally finished… Ta Da! That’s it, snuggled up in my favourite shop chair with  crochet Bambi. It was so much fun to make! Almost every square was a different combination and sequence of colours, so it never got boring.
