We always love sitting down with a new issue of Amirisu. The patterns, photographs, and articles are always up our street, and issue 23 is no exception. This time, the patterns are inspired by cinema from around the world, so it’s not just inspiring us to knit — it’s also inspiring us to explore new films while we knit! Here are some of our favourite patterns from the latest issue.

There are few things more artful than a handcrafted textile, and few have excelled in creating them more than Japanese design house Minä Perhonen. We have treasured the brand’s buttons, brooches, and fabric for a long time (as have many of you!) and we are so pleased to have a new line of their popular Toast Bags made just for Loop!

Back in September we introduced the new Yarnadelic range by John Arbon Textiles and announced we were collaborating with designer Florence Spurling to create a special pattern using the yarn. Today the wait is over and we are so happy to welcome the Florence Shawl to the Loop family! Florence’s textile designs are absolutely to die for. She specialises in knitted textiles, embroidery and embellishment. Her studio celebrates traditional craftmanship and aims to incorporate skilled handwork into modern design. There are few things we love more than a new collaboration with Mette Mehlsen. Our long-standing friendship with the textile artist has already produced Loop crochet favourites Flower Power and Wildwood.
