It is such an exciting time here at Loop. The year is off to a fantastic start and we are looking forward to visits from some of our favourite creators in the coming months. Plus, with new shipments of incredible wool and some other goodies it’s a hive of activity around here!
So much for Black Friday. We’re following the brilliant Holly Tucker’s lead and celebrating life in full colour today (and, really, every day).
Oh what a delight it is to be among friends. This time of year, with the evenings drawing in ever earlier, we feel the strong pull of the hearth. To sit with others and share and make is really all we want to do, and last month we got to do just that one Saturday evening at Loop with Celia Pym and Freddie Robins.

As an independent, woman-owned wool, textile, and crafting shop, small businesses are important to just about everything we do. Most of the creators we work with are small businesses, and of course we are surrounded by lovely local shops in Camden Passage and on Upper Street in the beautiful neighbourhood of Angel in London. The wait is nearly over for our long-anticipated weekend with Aimée Gille of La Bien Aimée and Sini Kramer of Laine Publishing, taking place next weekend on Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May. There is so much to celebrate — new books, great yarns, beautiful patterns, distinguished designers — and we are getting more excited every day!
There’s nothing quite like a delivery from Minä Perhonen. Their dreamy pieces of handmade haberdashery and accessories are always well designed, intricate, and just a little bit more beautiful than you could possibly imagine.
It may not be winter yet, but with the clocks changing in London it certainly feels that way, and we’re giddy about all the things we have to look forward to. First of all, Andrea Mowry has a new shawl pattern out using Spincycle Yarns and we have not been able to get it off our minds.
