Everything You Need to Know about Our Gorgeous New Website – Including a Discount!
Last week we announced the exciting news that we’ll be getting a new website later this month! This week we’re sharing everything you’ll need to know to keep your orders coming smoothly. Trust us, you’re going to love it.
We can’t wait to share all the things we’ll be able to do with our new website, and we really think it will make our customers’ online shopping experience easier and more pleasant. New features like streamlined shipping to the EU, a digital Loop Love reward programme, and instant downloads of patterns and gift vouchers (more on all of this below) will help us deliver the fantastic products and excellent customer service you’ve come to expect.
We’ll take our last orders through the current website on Saturday 15 January and we hope to have the new website live around Thursday 20 January. There are a few important things for our customers to know about what the new site will mean for them. Read on!
We are so excited about our new website that we want to share the love! We’re offering everyone a 10% discount on their first order through the new website using the code WELCOME10 at checkout. The offer code is good through the end of February 2022. We hope it will give you a chance to poke around the new site and maybe splurge on some extra special supplies for your crafting.
Loyal customers in the EU will be very familiar with the difficulty of ordering from UK shops in the wake of Brexit. We are glad to inform you the new website will make the process easier once again. We now are signed up to the IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) which allows us to collect the VAT on all EU sales up to 150 euros at checkout. This means customers in the EU will be charged any additional tax at checkout, avoiding unexpected fees and speeding up the shipping process.
Long-time customers will likely be familiar with our loyalty punch cards. Along with the new website, we’ll be launching a new digital loyalty reward scheme. Online orders will be rewarded with 5 points for every £1 spent, the same rate at which points are accrued on our physical cards. While you’ll still be able to use physical punch cards in the bricks and mortar shop, we will also be able to add points for in-shop purchases to your online Loop Love Points account. All points for online orders will be accrued as digital Loop Love Points. Customers whose punch cards were already registered online will have their point balance automatically applied when they re-activate on the new website.
Once you’ve accrued 1125 points you’ll receive a 15% discount on your next order. You can still earn Loop Love Points if you use guest checkout, but you will need to register an account to redeem them. As a bonus, you’ll receive 50 Loop Love Points when you activate your online account—whether you’re a new customer or a returning one!
If you already have an account with us, you’ll need to re-activate it on the new website. You should receive an email sometime next week with instructions for how to do so. You’ll receive 50 Loop Love Points for re-activating, the equivalent of the points you wold receive for spending £10! If you have any credit in your online account that has not been spent by Sunday 16 January, we will issue you a gift voucher in the final amount. It may take some time to receive your voucher via email, so please bear with us. Any order history stored on the old website will not automatically transfer, so if you should need it for any reason please log on before Sunday 16 January to access it.
Gone are the days of waiting for an email containing your digital pattern, PDFs will now be available for download automatically at checkout! In addition we’ll be able to offer digital gift vouchers for shopping online or in person, so you can send a treat directly to your favourite crafter near or far via email or print a copy to give to them in person. Our new gift section also has great ideas for the knitters, crocheters, and other crafters in your life.
Transitions come with their own challenges, so if there are a few minor hiccups in the coming weeks we hope you’ll bear with us.
