ITO Osaka Scarf Kit in Four New Colourways We Love
If you know Loop you know we’re huge fans of all things ITO. This Japanese yarn maker focuses on producing high-quality materials with a focus on tactile sensations, and the ITO Osaka Scarf is a gorgeous example of their craft.
We’ve carried ITO Osaka Scarf Kits for a number of years and in a variety of different colourways and they’ve always been a huge hit. The lightweight gossamer drape of this triangular shawl is totally gorgeous, and its mixture of warmth and airiness means it’s well suited to year-round wear. We just love the effect of this shawl. It’s simple and understated but hugely effective as a statement piece, and it really allows the gorgeous yarn to take centre stage.
It’s also a breeze to knit, with no complicated instructions to keep track of, so it’s perfect for social settings and for travel (you won’t believe how light the materials are!) Confident beginners and up will have no trouble at all with this pattern, though the quality of the silk mohair yarn can make it a bit tricky to work with for those just starting out.
So we’re really thrilled to give this excellent shawl a little makeover with four new kit colours. Bonbons, London Blues, Paris, and Angel are our very Loop-esque interpretations of this shawl, combining some of our favourite hues to tell tonal stories we love. Bonbons, London Blues, and Paris are launching today, Friday 2 February, and Angel will follow in a few weeks. #
The Osaka Scarf Kit comes with everything you need to make your version: five balls of ITO Sensai Mohair Silk yarn and a PDF of the Osaka pattern that will be emailed to you when your kit ships.
We’ve got goodies from Mimstermade back in the shop! The book and some kits from this incredible Japanese creator are back in stock and as adorable as ever. Tomomi Mimura’s “mosaic” stitching technique is truly ground-breaking and will totally change the way you think about stitching. From embroidery kits to technique books and tools to technicolour yarns, Mimstermade has a whole universe of wonderful things.
On 1 February some large email servers, like Gmail and Yahoo, changed the way they treat emails coming from certain email addresses — mainly those belonging to businesses. This may mean that our newsletter gets sent to your “spam” or “promotions” folders where there’s more of a risk you may miss them. If you want to be sure to see all emails from us, the best way is to add ” email@example.com” as well as “firstname.lastname@example.org” to your contacts list. In addition, if our emails end up in your spam folder you can mark them as “not spam” to help teach your email server how to treat emails from us going forward. Of course we always want to be sure you’re only getting emails you want, so you can always unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of our newsletter. And if you’re not yet subscribed, you can sign up to get the latest from Loop in your inbox each Friday by entering your email in the “subscribe to our blog” section in the right hand column above!
